Hi! I hope you are well and that after reading this short autobiography you will not regret losing the time that it takes you to do so.
I am Father Brian Lynch, a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, though I was not raised in the Twin Cities. I was born in Queens, New York to Tom and Kathy Lynch and raised by them in Connecticut. After graduating from East Catholic High School I attended the Pennsylvania State University and studied science. While there I met hard working international students whose dedication led me to question what I would be similarly motivated to do with my life. It was then that I started to think about becoming a priest. After a few years working for 3M, 5 years working in a parish, and 4 years at the Saint Paul Seminary, I was ordained a priest on May 27, 2006 at the Cathedral of St. Paul by Archbishop Harry Flynn. Since then I served at the Church of St. Ambrose of Woodbury and the Churches of St. Mary and St. Michael in Stillwater. I began my ministry at Our Lady of the Prairie in Belle Plaine on February 14, 2015.
I hope that my prayers, education, life experiences, and sense of humor will help you and all the people of Belle Plaine to deepen your relationship with Jesus. Please introduce yourself to me after Mass sometime so I can get to know you better. I am available to visit your home for a blessing or a meal sometime. I don’t care for broccoli or baked potatoes.
All the Best in Christ,
